Margaret's Gift includes a beautiful Ethel Carrick Fox

Margaret Olley was a hugely generous and loved artist. She funded the acquisition of many works of art to bestow to the public via the art galleries. Her gifts form an exhibition currently showing at the S.H Ervin Gallery, Sydney. Here this lovely work by Ethel Carrick Fox (1872-1951) may be seen. For decades ECF's reputation as an artist paled into comparasion with that of her husband, Emmanuel Phillips Fox. Nowadays ECF is considered to have been at least the equal of her husband!
